At present, I am investigating the invention of new drawing tools, digital and analog, that embrace an embodied and physical practice. The following evolving objectives have come into view thus far:
1. I am delving into software programming to invent new drawing tools that embrace both the mathematical and organic. I am experimenting with the code, the interactive handles on the variables, the persistent ability for the hands-on to manifest, the usefulness or not of “random” operations, and the intersection of live drawing with other software geared towards real-time manipulation.
2. I am exploring the timeline of making a drawing with the timeline of a musical score. Please see video links.

3. Mapping drawing to architecture/site and the consequent reverse mapping of site within a drawing. Utilizing video projection of hands-on drawing tools, I wish to experiment with doing projection mapping drawings onto specific sites. The 3 dimensional space is the canvas. I am curious about both how the 2d drawn mark engages with the 3d space and how the 3d space impacts and structurally shapes the 2d drawing. I have recently launched what I'm calling the BACKYARD DRAWING SERIES where people are volunteering their home environments for site-specific drawings.
